GPSA heard from the Student Affairs Communications Manager, Shea Bracken. She informed the assembly that Student Affairs has launched a new website at studentaffairs.psu.edu which is more organized and detailed than the previous one. For the time being, students may find that looking for old websites through Google can lead you to broken links for the old pages, but this is being addressed. The assembly passed two bills and two resolutions.
President Matthew Krott reminded the assembly that the Unionization FAQ is now live on the GPSA website. It has answers from both the Graduate School and the Coalition of Graduate Employees.
Speaker of the Assembly, Brian Conway added that the intent to run forms are due March 20th. He reinforced his appreciation for the work of this year’s assembly, and is hoping to see it carried on.
Bill 67-34 passed unanimously to fund professional headshots in the HUB on April 17th and 19th, time TBD. Bill 67-35 passed providing funding for dinner for those that volunteer in a book labeling event on April 3rd.
Resolution 67-07 passed correcting a typo in the by-laws. Resolution 67-08 passed which changed the standing committees to reflect what was deemed more practical based on a review of the last few years’ activities.
